Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP) is an evidence-based, emotion-focused therapy that helps clients rapidly identify and overcome unconscious emotional barriers, enabling lasting change by addressing the root causes of psychological distress.
ISTDP can be especially beneficial for people struggling with addiction by helping them uncover and work through the underlying emotional pain, trauma, or attachment issues that often drive compulsive behavior. By addressing the root causes rather than just the symptoms, ISTDP supports deeper healing and reduces the likelihood of relapse.
